Aquash Water Brush Assorted Tips

Once you're comfortable lettering using brush pens with a felt tip, I encourage you to try watercolor lettering. Instead of using a standard watercolor brush, I like using the Pentel Arts Aquash Water Brush. To use it, you first add water inside the barrel and as you put the pen to paper, the water slowly drips to the brush end and mixes with ink to create a color stain. 

Having a water brush pen allows me to do watercolor lettering and painting outside of my art room. It's portable, convenient, and less of a hassle to use compared to regular watercolor brushes since I get to carry fewer tools when I'm on the go. 

The set comes in four brush sizes: bold, medium, fine point, and flat. I like to use these water brushes with liquid watercolor ink, though a watercolor palette works great too!
