Cima Maliakal is an Obstetrician-Gynecologist currently practicing in an academic institution in California. She practices as a full-scope OB/GYN and has various experiences within the private sector and with a low socioeconomic class population. After completing her medical training at the University of Miami in Miami, Florida, Cima has previously worked in Washington, DC, Maryland, and Virginia. She completed her OB/GYN residency at Georgetown University in DC. During her career, she has published various articles and given presentations on pelvic floor medicine, prolapse, anal sphincter injuries, fibroids, and abnormal uterine bleeding. She has a passion for gynecologic surgery, particularly minimally invasive surgery. She is also pursuing a global health fellowship where she will provide care to the underserved in Uganda, Africa.
