If you have a pet stroller, you can spend more time with your pets (mainly dogs and cats) by bringing them with you when running errands. Now that more stores are allowing pet strollers, you can take advantage of this opportunity to have your animal buddy accompany you on shopping trips.
Pet strollers are also helpful for elderly people who can’t walk long distances without assistance. A cart will give older folks a chance to exercise while bonding with their favorite pets.
During a crisis or natural disaster, a pet stroller can make it easier to evacuate your pets from your home versus a traditional pet carrier.
Our product tests show that four-wheeled pet strollers are more stable and easier to push than three-wheeled models, even on unsteady surfaces like grass or unpaved roads. (The results were generally even on flat terrain.) A four-wheeled stroller is also less prone to vibration in the handle, making it more comfortable to push.
If a pet stroller has a detachable basket, you’ll be able to handle your pet without having to fuss over transferring them to a separate carrier. This is especially useful if your dog or cat is easily anxious and tries to escape during a trip to the vet or groomer.
A removable cot also makes it easy to store the stroller. You can simply fold it up.
When walking your dog or cat, you don’t want to be juggling too many items at once. Thus, you should find a cart that has storage for personal items, drinks, and even small bags. This will keep your hands free to push the stroller exclusively.
Some pet parents can’t take their eyes off their puppies or kittens without a possible escape or other mischief taking place. A stroller that folds quickly will allow you to pay more attention to your four-legged friends and keep them safe. Look for a two-step closure with a hook since it’ll fold your cart in an instant.
It’s not recommended you bring your dogs and cats outside for extended periods in the summertime, as they can suffer from heat-related issues that can potentially be fatal. However, if you must take them out in such conditions, make sure you have a pet stroller that has a high seat (at least 15 inches off the ground), ample shade, and proper ventilation (usually mesh windows) to keep the air flowing.
The right pet stroller alone can’t protect your fur babies from severe heat and harsh sunlight. But it can be a huge help. You should also bring other cooling items with you, such as a small fan, cooling mats (for the seats), and drinking water.

Why you should buy it: The four-wheel design keeps this pet stroller stable, even on bumpy terrain. The height of the handle should suit most adults, minimizing arm fatigue. There’s a zippered mesh window to prevent pets from escaping without minimizing airflow. It also comes with a safety buckle to keep your pup or kitty in place. The seat is 16 inches high, which makes it less likely to absorb heat from the ground.
The detachable basket means you can use this pet stroller as an independent carrier, and a four-wheel design will allow you to push it almost anywhere.

Why you should buy it: The height of the handle is at the right height for most adults to grip without straining their elbows. It’s thin and has a cushion, which allows for a firm grip. The four-wheel design makes it less likely to wobble for a stable ride, even on grass or unpaved roads. You can fold this stroller without applying any force, just pull the hooks on either side to fold.
The front mesh window has a zipper closure. There are also a couple of buckles that you can attach to your pet’s leash to prevent them from suddenly jumping out. The undercarriage has ample storage space for bags, and underneath the handle are drink holders plus an accessory compartment. The seat is 15.6 inches high, so it's less likely to absorb heat from the ground. Additionally, the large mesh window makes it easy to check on your pets so they don’t get lonely.
What to keep in mind: You can’t detach the basket from the rest of the cart. Although there’s a mesh window that covers nearly half of the roof, there is a possibility that heat may still get trapped. There are absolutely no mesh windows on the side of the carriage, so air can only flow in one direction.

What we loved
What we didn't love
Why you should buy it: This three-wheeled stroller is smooth and agile. It rides just as smoothly on grass as it does on a flat road. In addition to the mesh at the front, back, left, and right of the cot, more than half of the roof is also made of mesh. This not only provides ample ventilation but it’s also easy to view your furry friend while walking. To fold the stroller, simply pull the hooks on both sides to fold. No force is needed.
It comes with two anti-leap leads, so you can prevent anxious pets from jumping out of the stroller. There’s a large storage space under the cot, along with a drink holder and an accessory compartment. If you have a restless pet, its easy folding mechanism and mesh panels will allow you to keep your eyes on your pup or kitty at all times.
What to keep in mind: The handle is a bit low, which could strain your elbows after a while. Also, the handle cover is slightly loose and can move, so it’s more likely your hands may slip. There’s a non-locking fastener, which increases the risk of pets prying it open from the inside. Fortunately, the multiple mesh windows make it easy to view your dog or cat from the outside. The basket can’t be detached for individual use.

What we loved
What we didn't love
Why you should buy it: This stroller has mesh panels in the front, back, and sides, creating two large air passageways for optimal ventilation. There are two ways to fold it: by pressing the button on the handle and turning or by pulling the hooks on both sides to fold. Both methods can be done without applying much force.
The handle height should suit most adults, and there’s a non-slip grip. Its large tires will help you push forward on unsteady roads. A jump-prevention lead will keep restless pets from escaping. There’s a drink holder and an accessory compartment located directly beneath your grip where you can place your smartphone or pet bottles.
What to keep in mind: The stroller is heavy and requires strength to push, which will eventually tire people out. Our testers thought the cart was heavy, and it took a lot of effort to push it up a slope. The basket isn’t detachable. Since there’s only one lead to prevent escape, it may not be a good idea to use it for multiple pets that are prone to anxiety.

Why you should buy it: The body of the stroller is light and easy to transport, so we recommend it to people who frequently use public transportation. There’s a zipper closure to prevent pets from opening it from the inside. Two anti-jumping leads will help secure your pet to prevent escapes. Directly beneath the handle, there are spots to put your drinks and small items. The seat is 16.9 inches off the ground, so it’s unlikely to overheat on hot days.
What to keep in mind: The basket can’t be detached and used on its own. The handle sits a bit high, so you’ll start to feel some fatigue or pain in your elbows. On the lawn, pushing requires strength and the cart sways from side to side. There’s a lock on the handle, but it requires several steps to open and close, so it’s not ideal for immediate use.

Why you should buy it: This stroller is equipped with four large wheels so that you can push it on lawns or unpaved roads without much trouble. The handle is adjustable, giving you the ability to put it as high or low as you need to feel comfortable. Large mesh windows on the front, back, left, and sides yield exceptional ventilation and visibility for your pet. Additionally, there’s a pocket on the back of the cart for plastic bottles and small items. The cart is large, so it's perfect for people who have multiple pets or a medium-sized dog.
What to keep in mind: Given the large size of this stroller, taking wide turns will require some patience. It's not suitable for use in places with a lot of pedestrian traffic. And, at only 9.1 inches above the ground, it’ll absorb more heat on hot summer days. The non-locking closure will increase the risk of your dog or cat escaping. There’s also no anti-jump lead attached, so you’ll want to keep a close eye on your pets if they’re anxious.
